The Ranger R.A.C.K. (Ranger Assault Carrying Kit) is a highly sought after collectable as well as still completely useable today. It is likely the first relatively commonly issued chest rig used by U.S. forces. Issuance began in the 1990's with much of the design starting in the Ranger Regiment. Ranger Body Armor (RBA) did not have MOLLE webbing or ways to easily attach pouches and this chest rig enhanced modularity in a way that previous gear (ALICE) could not do.

Eventually even the Marines issued this vest as part of the early FSBE (Full Spectrum Battle Equipment) system as well.

This is a really neat bit of history as its pretty rare in general and even more so in DCU pattern. Since it is MOLLE, it is highly customizable with modern pouches. It also features mesh pockets on the reverse and the "bib" portion is capable of being tucked away if not needed.

**produced by various military contractors and may feature different colors of mesh backing

Lousy Customer Service Holding Up My Order

Failure to bother to answer your already tippy-top-secret phone number (like we customers know your employee codes) means I don't get to place my order. You offer "irregular" products, but lacking a crystal ball I have no clue as to the nature of the irregularity. Cosmetic flaw, harness stitched for eight-limbed aliens, broken fastex, hot pink stitching...who knows? Will I ever know? When people force me to use a keyboard, chances are I don't, and if I do it sure as heck doesn't put me in a happy mood. Presumably, your customer base isn't composed of pouges who have nothing better to do than play email tag on a computer. If someone is actually industrious enough to hunt down your phone number, you people should at least be respectful enough to answer.

Super cool chest rig. Great for building up your own rig. Another solid product delivered to the civilian market by OT Surplus!
