Of Course It's Used... but the joke about "best smelling surplus" is funny cause it's true! As is the case with all "water resistant" packs, the inside is a little tacky after a number of years. Otherwise, this guy was babied & is in excellent shape! ...& you can't beat the price! The weight bearing is gentle & comfortable. Overall, a remarkably well designed ruck. Loads of great little features! Of course "gramma's couch" was fail as far as concealment in the sandbox. But Western NY Winters, brown dry elephant grass... it's perfect!
