I cut the bottom out of this pouch and it works great for securely holding a hatchet or similar tool on the side of a backpack or on a belt. It is sturdy enough so that the top edges do not roll and the flap keeps tool from falling out.

Mille II extended M17 single mag pouch
Bought two. Excellent condition and like new. Trouble is, I got them to use with Glock 17 magazines and they don’t fit in these pouches
