Genuine USGI waterproof bivy cover for the Improved Modular Sleep System (IMSS/MSS).

This authentic U.S. Military Issue Modular Sleep System Bivy Cover is designed to provide a waterproof, windproof outer shell around your military sleeping bag while allowing moisture vapor to escape. Made with Gore-Tex waterproof/breathable fabric, the bivy protects your sleep system from rain, snow, wind, ground moisture, and changing field conditions without requiring a traditional tent.

Featuring the UCP/ACU camouflage pattern, these bivy covers were issued as part of the improved U.S. military sleep system and are built for serious field use.

The roomy military design fits over the USGI patrol and intermediate sleeping bags and can also be used with many commercial sleeping bags. A covered zipper provides easy entry and exit, while snap closures allow the upper portion to be secured around the sleeper for additional protection from the elements.

For camping, hunting, bushcraft, preparedness, military collections, or a genuine USGI sleep system, the MSS bivy is an extremely versatile piece of field gear.

Condition

Grade 1 – Very Good Condition: Genuine military surplus in very good, fully serviceable condition. May show minor signs of previous use or storage including light dirt, cosmetic marks, writing, slight fading, or other normal handling wear. No major holes, tears, or damage affecting normal use. Exact appearance will vary.

Because these are genuine military-surplus bivy covers rather than commercial reproductions, minor cosmetic differences between individual covers should be expected.

Grade 2: Good condition, No holes, fully serviceable. May show signs of use to include dirt and discoloration. 

Grade 3: Small pin holes or may need seams re-heated/taped.
